Families United for Change (FUFC) was founded in 2019 by a mother who tragically lost her son to an opioid overdose after countless attempts at recovery. Shawn Sinisi was failed by stigma, negative treatment, & ineffective rehabilitation procedures.
Families United for Change is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in Shawn's memory by his family, dedicated to providing a safe space for people touched by addiction. Our mission is to increase awareness, provide effective resources, & erase the stigma surrounding SUDs.
FUFC believes that uniting for change will help others seek & find hope in recovery. We were created with a goal to be a resources and safe space for people touched by substance use disorders (SUDs), whether they are a family member, a friend, or a person currently struggling.
