Led by Founder and Executive Director Kary Garreston, the "Made For More" Women’s Restoration Home offers a second chance to women battling addiction, abuse, and homelessness. Kary, who is married to Pastor Chris Garreston of Redefined Community Church, draws from her own powerful story of transformation—once addicted to heroin, she’s now been clean for 18 years.
Her journey began with rehab and finding a church family that embraced her through every step of recovery. They didn’t just offer encouragement—they helped her rebuild her life, from securing housing to regaining her driver’s license. That compassion and hands-on support became the blueprint for "Made For More."
“I thought, this is what people that are fighting addiction need,” Kary said. “They need people to step up for them, to help walk through life with them, to let them know that there is hope.”
The dream took shape after she shared her story at a women’s event last September. A nonprofit leader from Lancaster offered to buy the house if Kary would run it—and she immediately said yes. Since then, the Redefined Community Church family has rallied behind the mission, helping turn the vision into a reality.
